A note from us
Galal and Samira, together with Fouad and Nahed, invite you to the marriage of their children.
The street is four hundred years older than either of us and has seen this before.
The drums start at seven. Do not be late for them.

How we got here

October 2021
A closed door on el-Moez
She was photographing the mashrabiya. He was waiting for the same door to open and had been there an hour longer.

2022 — 2026
Ramadan, every year since
The same street after the maghrib call, the same seller, an ongoing dispute about which corner does it properly.

April 2026
Between the drums
He asked at somebody else’s wedding, in the gap between one zaffa and the next, which he maintains was the only quiet moment available.

Questions
Can I bring someone?
If your invitation names a guest, absolutely. If it does not, we are at the edge of the room and we are sorry.
Are children welcome?
Yes, all evening. There is somewhere quiet to sit if anyone needs it.
Is there parking?
Yes — the note under the address has the details.
Come for the zaffa
The doors open at seven and the drums do not wait.
